When it’s evening in Kasauli, the sun paints the wide-open sky with the colors of joy, colors of romance. As far as you can see, you will get to see a splash of various colors. The birds love it. The hills love it. Thus, when it’s evening in Kasauli, people reach the Sunset Point to fill their heart with the glimpse of such a mystical phenomenon which the might Nature has to shower on this earth. The charm of watching the sunset from Sunset Point in Kasauli is mystical and magical. It keeps you glued and you forget the time, or maybe the time stops.
I have only seen anything like this in the movies. The Hollywood movies to be precise when the hero and the heroine take a walk along the beach or sit on the mountain somewhere to gaze at the sun, watching it going down, hiding on the horizon. Never had I ever imagined myself doing so but I assume it must be thrilling, holding hands in hands sitting by a hillside and the sunset in the front. I have seen sunsets in the village I live, with the crop fields and hills. I have also seen sunset living in my hometown. I had a camera with 35X optical zoom and I would sit all through the evening to capture some amazing photographs of the sun.
I love painting sunsets and galaxies, I love painting the sky when it is covered in the most brilliant colors. That’s my muse I must say. And when I reached Kasauli from Shimla, I was so much interested and excited to watch the sun setting down but unfortunately I missed it. Yeah. I was there and I couldn’t get to reach the sunset point in Kasauli.
What made me miss the Sunset Point in Kasauli?
It was a weekend trip to Shimla. However, after spending a day in Shimla, I came to Kasauli to escape from the chaos of that city. The year 2019 was about to be over, thus there was a lot of rush and I realized that I came to Shimla at a very wrong time. Somehow I got to know about Kasauli being not too far so I took two buses to reach here.
I reached there pretty late. Now since I didn’t know much about this place and everything was just unplanned, I first visited Christ church which is known to be the oldest church of Himachal Pradesh. Guess what, I had no idea if there was any sunset point in Kasauli. Thus, I spent some time at the Christ church and after that, I took a stroll around. In the evening, I had my meal of the day at a restaurant and then I headed to the bus stand. While I was talking a walk to the bus stand, I checked on the internet about this Sunset point in Kasauli which I had missed and there was no way to reach there.
When I reached the bus stand, a bus to Dharampur was already standing there. I had to be in the office the next morning. Thus, I chose to take the bus back and postponed the sunset point of Kasauli someday else with proper planning. Though I had some twenty minutes with me so I stood there and tried to capture the sun setting, spreading its colors in the sky. It was something that I shouldn’t have missed but somehow I did it. I have missed some amazing which I must have treasured.
