But if I’m being honest, spending 2 days in Mussoorie didn’t quite match the idyllic visions I had in mind. The bustling streets and swarming tourists felt overwhelming, and it was hard to find a moment of peace amidst the throngs of people.

That said, the charm of Mussoorie still managed to seep through in small, quiet moments—like the mist rolling over the hills at dawn, or the way the town lights twinkled in the evening as I found a quiet corner to take it all in. It was in these brief respites from the crowd that I began to see why so many hold this place dear. In this blog, we will take a look at top places and things to do in 2 days in Mussoorie.

Yet, for me, the experience was a mixed bag. It was an unplanned journey. Mussoorie has its beauty, no doubt, but it’s a beauty you have to actively seek out, away from the hustle and bustle that dominates much of the town.

If you’ve been following my blogs, you know that serenity is my sanctuary. But my 2 days in Mussoorie were far from peaceful. The town, known for its scenic beauty, greeted me with traffic jams, constant honking, and crowds at every turn. This led to a frustrating situation where I had to cancel my reservation and search for another place to stay.

The new accommodation wasn’t much of an improvement. The room was quite cramped, almost giving me a sense of being crumpled inside a tiny space. The washroom was equally small, adding to the discomfort. The only redeeming feature of the room was the window, which offered a panoramic view of the surrounding hills. However, the WiFi was still problematic, making it challenging to stay connected. Despite these setbacks, the view from the window provided a slight relief and a reminder of the natural beauty that Mussoorie has to offer, even amid the chaos. My 2 days in Mussoorie were kind of troublesome.

While exploring Mussoorie, I realized I had missed Landour, a charming area just a short distance from the Clock Tower. Deciding to make up for it, I took a pleasant walk from the bustling Mall Road up to Landour. This little detour turned out to be a delightful escape from the more crowded parts of Mussoorie.

Landour, with its colonial-era charm and serene atmosphere, felt like a different world. The walk itself was refreshing, taking me through peaceful streets lined with quaint cottages and lush greenery. The cool hill breeze and stunning views were a welcome change from the hustle and bustle I had experienced earlier in the day. Landour should be a part of your 2 days in Mussoorie travel plan.

One of the highlights of my visit was the Landour Bakehouse. Known for its delectable cakes and pastries, this cozy spot provided the perfect break. I enjoyed a delicious treat while sitting in the rustic and charming ambiance of the bakehouse, which seemed to perfectly capture the essence of Landour.

After indulging in some delightful baked goods, I walked back to Mall Road.
