Delhi is the city of artists. From handicrafts to digital, visual artists, you will find everyone here. Young, struggling, established everyone happens to visit here once, no matter if it is an art exhibition where they get to showcase their unique talent to the world. There are several organization, government and NGOs which are working to support these artists, to give them platform. In this very context, I visited the famous All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society (AIFACS), New Delhi. This is an independent organization which was founded in 1928.

The art exhibition Spandan was organized by Enhance Exhibitions & Events, Goa. Many artists and photographers not only from India but from abroad participated in this art exhibition. Some good friend of mine also displayed their artwork here. I was also supposed to put few of my work but unfortunately I couldn’t. The event (from 27th May to 2nd June) started at 4PM. The chief guest was Shri Kapil Mishra, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism, Art, Culture & Language.

All the artworks were amazing and some were really mind – blowing. I really liked artwork done by Prateek Sharma. He did wonderful pencil sketching while Tripti Dhiwar from Pune captured my attention with her vibrant portraits of girls’ faces. She came all the way from Pune to Delhi to participate in this event. Four artists from group Poets, Artists Unplugged participated in this event. Every artist has his/her own unique sense of understanding and observation and that’s what turns out as the creation, the art. Art is not just painting, it’s how you show what you feel, and it’s about expressing yourself with help of this medium. It’s more than this definition.

How to reach AIFACS?
Metro is the easiest medium to reach there. AIFACS is located close to Central Secretariat Metro Station which is on yellow line. This is the best way to reach here.
One should visit this place to explore the art and craft.
